This exhibition will be opened by Dr Ian Crawford, Archaeologist, Anthropologist and author.
Dr Crawford has a life time's experience with the community practices and art of the northern Kimberley people. His work “The Art of the Wandjina” (Oxford University Press 1968), is a seminal reference for anyone with an interest in the indigenous art practices of the area. Of note is his on-going working relationship with people in the region and he continues to write.
